How to Add Employer’s Representative Through MyTax
Starting from January 1st, 2024, it will be the responsibility of all employers to report new employees within 30 days from their date of employment through the e-CP22 system on MyTax. It’s worth noting that for the submission of CP22 through MyTax, only the company director (with Employer Role in MyTax) has the authority to make the submission. Alternatively, the director can appoint an Employer Representative to submit on behalf of the company.
Follow these step-by-step instructions to appoint an Employer’s Representative on MyTax:
Step 1: Log in to MyTax (mytax.hasil.gov.my) as the company director.
If you are a first time user, below are steps to activate MyTax account:
First Time Login Registered taxpayers without digital certificate
- Choose “Identification Number”.
- Enter identification number.
- Click “Send”.
- System will display “Digital Certificate does not exist”
- Select one 1 method to continue registration of digital certificate
- e-CP55D to continue digital certificate registration via web
- e-KYC to continue digital certificate registration via face identification
Step 2: Under Role Selection, click on ‘Individual,’ then select ‘Employer’ from the options. Choose your company from the dropdown list.
If you do not have the Employer Role in MyTax, please apply under Profile Section > Role Application.
Note: Please apply for the role as a Company Director and the role of Employer will be given automatically. The application will be processed within 5 working days.
Supporting documents required are:
- A copy of the company/cooperative/society/organization registration certificate (SSM); and
- A copy of the company’s board of directors / committee members list / Cooperative / Trust Deed / PLT / Organization from SSM or other valid registering organization;
- Should the individual who is given authority not be listed in the list as mentioned above, additional documents need to be submitted: A letter of authorization using the Company’s/Organization’s letterhead signed by the Company’s/Organization’s Board of Directors
Step 3: Once you have selected the Employer Role, go to the Profile section, find and click on “Appointment of Representative.”
Step 4: Enter the IC number of the representative you wish to appoint and click Submit.
Step 5: Assign and sign the appointment by entering your director’s IC and password.
Once you’ve completed these steps, your appointed representative will have access to MyTax and will be able to submit CP22 forms on your company’s behalf.
